Due to covid-19 worship inside of the church is postponed until further notice. We are hosting virtual bible studies, morning chats, other events, & sunday worship on our website & through Zoom. Check out our Events page under this tab in the menu.

We gather to Worship God on Sunday mornings & Wednesday Evenings. On both days the texts from Sunday are read and preached on.
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. Brief service of Morning Prayer: an extremely simple service with communion offered
10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy of Holy Communion: traditional liturgy with organ.
Wednesday: 7:00 p.m. Sacred Journey, Evening Prayer with Holy Communion: a creative candlelight liturgy bringing together ancient sounds in a contemplative, contemporary setting.
Are Children Welcome? Of course, children of all ages are encouraged to be in worship. We foster an environment conducive to families being together in church, including an interactive children’s time, and a drawing station for busy hands.
On Sunday mornings, there is coffee and fellowship at 9:00 a.m. and light coffee reception following the 10:00 a.m. service. During fellowship: Godly Play (Sunday School) and Adult Forum activities are held. There is something for everyone and child care by trained attendants for those small children who need it.
Wednesday Evening we gather for fellowship before worship at 6:00 pm for a potluck supper. You’re invited to come join us.
Morning Prayer: Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m..
Silent Meditation: Tuesday 12:00 pm. Intentional Silence, that focuses on God’s holy presence, the ground of our being is a rare but much needed opportunity. After a brief introduction of spoken and sung prayer, we will spend 20 minutes together in silence. Gather in the front of the sanctuary, bring your own meditation stool/mat, or use a chair provided.

Where will my children go during the service?
Children are always welcome in our worship services, but we also provide a nursery service with paid staff during worship. Every service has a special sermon for kids that we call Good News 101.
Do I have to be a Member to participate?
At First Lutheran you do not have to be a member to participate in Ministry functions. Quite frankly we want as many non-members to participate as possible in the hope that you will join us as a member.
Can I take Communion?
Any baptized, believing Christian is welcome to participate in Communion at First Lutheran Church. You do not have to be a member of the church or even a Lutheran. We celebrate the Eucharist around the rail that circles the altar, where you may kneel or stand. You may pick up an individual plastic cup if you choose, or you may dip your wafer into the common cup when it is offered, or you may take wine directly from the cup. The individual cups in the center of the tray contain white grape juice for those who prefer. If you are handicapped in some fashion, you may take communion in the pew if you notify an usher of that need.
What kind of music do you have?
This is a common question. A huge debate has arisen in churches over whether traditional music or contemporary music is “right.” We believe that God has inspired people throughout the ages to write hymns and songs of praise and that He continues to inspire musicians from all generations to write music that praises Him and brings glory to His name. We believe that debates regarding styles of music are more a matter of personal preference than anything else.
We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary worship services praising God with great church hymns of both past and present, as well as using a blend of music styles to glorify God. Offerings of praise and thanksgiving are expressed through timeless music led by our choir. Worship services are enhanced with very talented soloists, and occasional brass instruments.
Is the Church handicap accessible?
Yes. All areas of our facility are wheelchair accessible.
