Godly Play®

Godly Play® is the result of a lifetime of research and practice by theologian, author, and educator The Reverend Dr. Jerome Berryman.

The Godly Play® method is a spiritual practice exploring the mystery of God’s presence in our lives through wondering and play. The process aims to provide spiritual guidance and build religious language that can later be used in the development of a deep personal connection with God and community.

Used in all 50 states and in at least 15 different countries, Godly Play® is a spiral curriculum that builds our children’s faith from “Hear It” (ages 3-6), Speak It (ages 6-9), and Think It (ages 9-12). (This program is also finding success with adults in hospitals and care facilities.)

Please join us on Sundays at 9:30am during the entire school year in person or VIA ZOOM!

Spring Ahead

Thank you for your warm welcome, acknowledgment, and friendship for all of our children and young families!

We have finished our Parable Stories this winter with "The Good Samaritan", always a favorite and full of powerful life-long lessons! Our “snacks” have reinforced each of these lessons. We would show our crafts to you, BUT WE ATE THEM! (Ha! Ha!). We now move our storytelling on to "The Faces of Easter", starting with Jesus as a baby and little boy, his ministry, and the events of the Holy Week.

We will continue to meet at 9:30am each Sunday IN PERSON and VIA ZOOM, if needed.(Parents please TEXT us by 9am if Zoom is needed.)

The children continue to be so proud and excited about the Globe Offerings from our very generous congregation. We wish you could see their delight as they put each and every gift into the globe at the back of the church! And if you listen very carefully as you are prayerfully reciting the Lord’s Prayer, you will hear one or more very proud children Ringing the Church Bells! Also a favorite ‘job”!

THERE WILL BE SOME SPECIAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN ON EASTER SUNDAY during the service! You won’t want to miss this event and the offerings they will provide! (More info will be provided to parents in the coming week.

Currently we are collecting for “Sharing Kindness” that provides suicide prevention, education, and support, mental health education and grief support programs on the Cape & Islands.”
